As we discussed in our opening post ‘What Is Numerology?’, the very foundation of our subject is in numbers. How the do we go about calculating our numerology number? Or is numbers?
When people talk about their ‘Numerology Number’, they’re usually referring to their life path number, hence the name of our site – Numerology Life Paths. This is perhaps the most critical part of understanding numerology, not necessarily because it’s come magical fix for all your problems, but it provides us with somewhere to begin, the first brick to lay if you like.
What Is A Life Path Number?
Different numerologists explain this in different ways, so for now we’ll just use the generally accepted definition. In time, you’ll learn more about how (and why) some people vary their interpretations, but the important thing for now is you understand what we’re referring to.
The Life Path relates to why you’re here, or your purpose to have landed on Planet Earth. It sounds grand and a little silly, but we’re all here with a purpose and we fulfil those every day. Perhaps you’re a parent helping to guide a child through their early years, or your job helps your employer by completing a small yet critical task within the bigger picture of their operations. Life path is more general, but important and will form a crucial stepping stone in our journey of discovery in numerology.
What Is A Destiny Number?
If your Life Path Number describes where you’re going, then you Destiny Number is how you’re going to get there. It’s not like getting on a bus, at least not literally. When you approach tasks, you goal (Life Path) is often clear, but it’s your approach to that task and how you attack it that’s your Destiny Number’s influence.
The Synergy Of Life Path And Destiny
Calculating both of these number brings us to our first point of understanding. The intersection of Life Path and Destiny will inevitably impact on our effectiveness in a given situation, and explains why some of us fin a particular new task easier than others. Of course, that may partly come from transferable skills we have already learned, but have you noticed how some people just seem to adapt better than others? Now you know why!
Introducing The Confusion Between Astrology And Numerology
In our last post we briefly touched on how some people confuse the horoscopes that astrology practitioners deliver with the science of numerology, and this should now be becoming more obvious to you. If you think about the life path number and destiny number above, it’s easy to see how we’re saying people will be better and more effective than others at some tasks because of how well they approach them. Horoscopes tend to predict similar patterns, but they’re only based on a star sign. Numerology uses two vectors to make this judgement, so you would expect a more accurate outcome. What’s more, we’re only scratching the surface so far, there’s far more that we’re yet to discuss!
How Do I Calculate My Personal Numerology Numbers?
Quite simply, the easiest way to find your numbers is to use a tool online. You can probably find the calculations to do it yourself, however the problem tends to be that people make mistakes the first few times they complete them. Our recommendation is to use this service, where you can chat to an expert for free to find your numbers, and they’ll even go as far as giving you a full numerology reading if you wish to do so.
